Our experience includes almost 8years living and traveling full-time in overland vans (originally driving a ‘67 VW bus from the Pacific NW down through Mexico and Central America then SprinterVans throughout North America and up to the Arctic circle), testing designs and systems in all four seasons in a way that simply can’t be replaced by a few weekends at the trailhead.

We also have a rich background in architectural design, where we focus on designing custom eco-friendly small zen living spaces that live much larger than their footprint (much like in our vans).

We came to find ourselves designing and building vans for others only because we did so for ourselves first. This wasn’t meant to be a business for us, it was simply a means to the lifestyle that brought so much freedom and happiness to our lives.

As others kept asking for our help with their van we realized that the process was just as fun on someone else’s van as it was in our own, so we eventually founded ZENVANZ and now Z2O.
We have helped facilitate over 135 beautiful builds out there adventuring in beauty and comfort.

These days we spend part of our time in vans/overland vehicles and part on boats sailing across oceans, which also allows us to understand and bring some of the products/processes developed and perfected in the harsh conditions of the marine industry over to the van world.

We are thrilled to be able to share our experience in this lifestyle with others, to have an outlet to continue doing what we love and to continue growing this community of like-minded travelers.
