FAQs

  • Lead times vary depending on complexity of project and how involved you'd like us to be. A cabinetry-only DIY kit could be only a month or two out and a full build could be as much as 6-9months out.

Right now our next available full build date is in early 2025. Once a new van arrives, the build process averages four months from start to finish.

We'd love to support your build. For the most up-to-date lead times and any questions, please contact us.

  • We've yet to have two builds be the same.

While most other builders have gone the other way, offering only 2 or 3 layouts with a few "options" like color and fabric in order to roll more and more builds off the assembly line, we actually prefer to build less vans and hold to maximum quality.

Each build starts with the needs of our clients and we work together to define layout and specs from there.

  • We support clients from DIY to full builds (to everything in between) so costs can vary widely depending on our scope.

We are always transparent about costs from day one and helping find a way to build within your budget is a standard part of our coaching.

If helpful, DIY Cabinetry Kits start as low as $15k and a full build can be as much as a small custom home (this one just happens to be on wheels).

  • We can and have, but in most cases it ends up being more affordable (or better financing options) for our clients to buy directly from the dealer.

We are happy to help define specs for the van and have a wide network of trusted dealers who can ship direct to our door, which means we often find ourselves involved in or helping support the buying process.

  • Some vans like the Sprinter and Transit are completely "dialed in" in terms of templates and CNC files, but we've had clients build using our kits in everything from SUVs to Expedition Vehicles and are happy to support your build regardless of what chassis you've decided to build inside of.

  • So glad you asked!
For us, this is first and foremost a passion project. We fell in love with #vanlife after living and travelling full time in vans for almost 8yrs.

There are a LOT of builders out there (from first timers who built their own van and decided to immediately go "pro" to assembly-line builders rolling thousands of vans out the door a month).

In fact, we have owned and run a well-known van building company that started trying to grow in numbers and we watch the sacrifices in quality and service that inevitably happened as a result.

We far prefer to build a small number of vans and know that they are the best built vans on the planet.

For us, this is entirely a relationship business, and most of our clients come to us after having owned a couple other vans and are tired of watching them fall apart within a few years.

The vast majority of our clients call us looking for something that will outlast the van itself - looking to build their "foerever van".

Let’s work together!
